In a string of activity before the end of the year, Governor Kathy Hochul signed the Climate Change Superfund Act and issued a string of vetoes, including a bill that would have restored the right to serve on juries to convicted felons.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is beginning his reelection campaign with the endorsements of most prominent establishment figures in Manhattan politics, including City Council Member Gale Brewer (District 6, Upper West Side) and Congress Member Jerry Nadler (NY-12, Central Manhattan).
Council Speaker Adrienne Adams (District 28, southeastern Queens), and most of the other members of the Council’s leadership, will be term-limited out in 2025.
